CNC Turning OR CNC Milling Backgrounds Considered
I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established Aerospace firm in Hayes who are preparing for significant expansion over the coming months.
With a healthy order book, consistent long-term work and further growth expected, they're now looking to add several skilled CNC Machinists to their existing team.
They're interested in speaking with experienced machinists from either CNC Turning or CNC Milling backgrounds - particularly people who can confidently set machines, understand the machining process and take ownership of their work.
This is a permanent, long-term opportunity within a busy engineering business that's investing in its people and continuing to grow.
The RoleYou'll join an experienced machining team within a clean, modern and well-organised engineering environment, producing a mixture of precision components across one-offs, small batches and repeat production work.
Depending on your background, you'll work predominantly across either CNC lathes or CNC milling centres.
They're not looking for basic machine operators.
They need capable machinists who can independently set jobs, understand tooling and offsets, read engineering drawings, maintain quality and keep production moving.
If you're already programming, even better - but you don't need to be a full CNC Programmer to be considered.
What We're Looking ForWe're interested in speaking with:
- CNC Setter Operators
- CNC Turners
- CNC Millers
- CNC Machinists
- CNC Programmer Setter Operators
- Multi-Axis Machinists
You'll ideally be confident with:
- Setting CNC machinery independently
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Setting tooling and offsets
- Producing components to tight tolerances
- Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection
- Making adjustments to maintain component quality
- Identifying and resolving machining issues
- Working independently without constant supervision
Programming experience is also highly desirable, but not essential for every position.
Why Consider Moving?Long-Term Stability:
They're recruiting because of growth and workload, with a healthy order book and steady, consistent work driving the need for additional permanent machinists.
Highly Competitive Pay:
Good CNC machinists are difficult to find, and the company understands the value of experienced people. Salary will reflect your actual machining capability and experience.
Optional Overtime:
Want to earn more? Additional hours are available. Don't want them? You're not relying on overtime to make the role worthwhile.
Modern Working Environment: A clean, organised machine shop with good equipment and an experienced engineering team around you.
Genuine Progression:
As the company expands, there will be opportunities for strong machinists to develop technically, broaden their machining capabilities and take on additional responsibility.
They're not simply replacing somebody who's left. The machining team is being expanded to support the amount of work currently coming through the business and its plans for further growth.
