Location: City of Westminster

Suba Design is a growing industrial design and manufacturing company based in Bayswater. We provide a wide range of custom-made furniture for the commercial, retail, hospitality, education and healthcare sectors. We specialise in the manufacture of melamine and steel furniture and provide joinery and powder coating services all under the one roof. We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic cabinetmaker to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities
  • Examining drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications
  • Selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board, synthetic wood and other engineered wood products
  • Programming and controlling computer-aided design and computer numerical control machines to mark out, cut and shape components
  • Installing cabinetry in bathrooms and kitchens and commercial fitouts
  • Assembling parts to form sections of cabinets and furniture and completed articles
  • Applying protective coatings to cabinets and furniture
  • Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves and other associated hardware
  • Verifying and double checking all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges and side panels, always using blueprints or design plans for reference
  • Knowledge and experience using CNC and Beam Saw machines will be highly regarded
Skills & Experience
  • Relevant cabinetmaking and/or industrial design qualifications
  • Previous experience in industrial design or cabinet making is preferred
  • Adhere to company safety standards and operating procedures
  • A can-do attitude with problem solving ability and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised
  • Meeting strict deadlines
  • Ensure that all the work is completed on time and at high quality
  • You must be a team player and have the ability to work independently
  • Ability to problem solve, foster change and champion best practice operational processes
