Position: COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Location: City Of London

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Communications Manager to lead our PR, marketing, and social media efforts. In this role, you’ll take the lead on managing G.O.A.T Film Club’s social media presence, ensuring that our platforms are engaging, dynamic, and aligned with our mission. You will be responsible for driving social media strategies, growing our online community, and amplifying the voices of marginalised talent.

Alongside this, you will handle press relations, manage media inquiries, create newsletters, and develop marketing campaigns to promote our events and raise brand awareness. Your work will be pivotal in shaping our communications strategy, ensuring that G.O.A.T Film Club’s digital presence continues to thrive and expand across the film and television industry.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with G.O.A.T Film Club’s mission. Create, curate, and schedule compelling content across platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Linked In, and Facebook. Focus on driving growth, increasing engagement, and amplifying underrepresented voices. Track and analyse performance metrics, using data to continuously optimise content and strategies. Stay up-to-date with trends and emerging platforms to ensure G.O.A.T Film Club remains relevant and innovative.

PR

and Media Relations

Cultivate and manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Craft and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to ensure G.O.A.T Film Club’s events and initiatives are effectively promoted. Proactively pitch stories to media outlets, secure coverage, and handle any media inquiries. Build a robust PR strategy that elevates our profile across national and international markets.

Marketing Campaigns

Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote G.O.A.T Film Club’s screenings, events, and initiatives. Coordinate across digital, print, and social channels to ensure cohesive messaging. Partner with the team to design marketing assets (visuals, videos, copy) that resonate with target audiences and align with the brand. Develop strategies to increase event attendance, drive ticket sales, and strengthen audience development.

Email Marketing & Newsletters

Design and manage regular email campaigns, ensuring engaging content and clear calls to action. Build segmented email lists to target key demographics and increase open rates. Write compelling newsletters that inform, engage, and retain members of the G.O.A.T Film Club community, promoting upcoming events, filmmaker news, and relevant industry insights.

Brand Partnerships & Collaborations

Identify and nurture partnerships with like-minded organisations, brands, and institutions. Develop joint communications strategies to promote collaborative events, ensuring consistency across all partner platforms. Maximise these partnerships to increase reach and engagement while staying aligned with G.O.A.T Film Club’s values.

Analytics, Reporting & Insights

Regularly report on the performance of social media platforms, PR coverage, and marketing campaigns. Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies, identify growth opportunities, and improve engagement. Develop monthly reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and campaign outcomes.

Community Engagement & Management

Actively engage with G.O.A.T Film Club’s online community, responding to comments, messages, and queries across platforms. Foster a sense of belonging and conversation around our events and initiatives, encouraging our audience to engage with and share our content. Proactively seek feedback from the community to inform future content and campaigns.

Key Skills & Experience

Proven experience in social media management, PR, marketing, and website management, ideally within the film, TV, or creative industries.

Strong understanding of digital platforms, with the ability to create and execute successful social media strategies that grow audiences and increase engagement.
