About The Role

Are you passionate about learning and development? Do you enjoy organising and sharing knowledge in ways that empower others? If so why not become a volunteer helping to support the development and maintenance of our Dementia Practice Academy.

The Dementia Practice Academy (DPA) is a digital resource library which provides Alzheimer’s Society staff with opportunities for self-directed study. It contains a range of resources such as podcasts, websites, videos and more to suit different learning styles.

With the support of your volunteer manager, you will be looking for new relevant resources in a variety of formats on specific topics of interest to expand our Dementia Practice Academy, while supporting with general maintenance activities such as cataloguing.

You’ll be great for the role if:
  • You have experience of managing and maintaining digital resources or you have the IT skills required to learn how to support the ongoing upkeep and organisation of the digital library.
  • You are organised, able to prioritise tasks and have good attention to detail.
  • You have good communication skills and can volunteer within a team of people or independently.
