Main duties of the job
Shift details: 7 am to 8:30 pm or 8:15 pm to 7:15 am. As a Registered Nurse – Bank at Moorlands Lodge Care Home, you will act as a charge nurse, leading care, implementing high standards, medication distribution, managing chronic conditions, advising families and GPs, ensuring effective staff deployment, and conducting accurate care planning assessments.
Job responsibilities- Act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager and observe all instructions.
- Undertake nursing tasks including medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions.
- Advise families and GPs about resident conditions and involve them in care choices.
- Ensure effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team.
- Provide high standards of care through accurate assessment and planning.
- Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years experience and up‑to‑date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post‑basic studies/qualification.
- Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
- Have sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
- ADBS Disclosure check, cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
