Ward Sister​/Charge Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for the right person. We are looking for an experienced paediatric nurse ready to step into the Band 7 role as Ward Sister/Charge Nurse of T11 South general paediatric ward.

This is an excellent opportunity to drive service delivery, inspire a high-performing team, and collaborate with paediatric specialists across the trust.

• Oversee care for patients ranging from birth to 12yrs, including admissions from emergency services, paediatric intensive care units, and specialist services.
• Provide expert clinical leadership at ward level, setting and delivering high standards of clinical care, and providing 24‑hour accountability for the overall management of the ward and the delivery of nursing care.
• Manage, deploy and supervise nursing and associated staff and the management of the budget.
• Lead the development of ward nursing practice and standards of care.
• Be responsible for the education of patients and staff.

• Significant experience in paediatric nursing, ideally with leadership exposure.
• A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset and a dedication to patient outcomes.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with confidence in decision‑making.
