Specialist Dental Nurse

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Specialist Dental Nurse to join the Maxillofacial and Dental team. The role involves providing effective expertise, advice and support to ward/department teams and ensuring high-quality care to children, young people and their families.

• Provide high standards of clinical care and support to all staff grades.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including stocking materials and equipment.
• Collect and input data into the patient administration system.
• Assist the Dental and wider MDT on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner.
• Assist in the safe, effective and efficient running of the department within allocated resources.
• Promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence‑based practice.
• Be familiar with and adopt the principles of the NHS Chief Nursing Officers vision for Compassion In Practice.

• Registered Dental Nurse with excellent clinical skills and relevant background in Dental Nursing.
• Demonstrable experience working in a Dental clinical unit.
• Excellent teamwork skills and role‑playing qualities.
