- Administer medications safely, maintain accurate and timely documentation and contribute to safe discharge planning.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues and students, helping to foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Take part in audit, research and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the ongoing development of services and ensuring care is delivered in line with best practice.
- Occasionally coordinate the ward and act as nurse in charge with appropriate support.
- Work Day and Night shifts as required; newly qualified nurses will be considered but not guaranteed.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with Band 5 placement or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible Day and Night shifts.
- Proficient in patient assessment, clinical decision‑making and effective communication with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to medication safety protocols.
- Experience or willingness to mentor juniors and engage in professional development activities.
- Flexible working options to balance work and life.
- Access to the NHS pension scheme for long‑term financial security.
- Generous annual leave allowance to recharge and relax.
- Strong focus on career development to help you grow and achieve your potential.
- Blue Light Card offer for exclusive discounts on shopping, dining and leisure activities.
- Location advantage: picturesque countryside, excellent educational facilities and affordable housing, with easy access to cities such as Bristol, Bath and Exeter and only two hours to London.
