Dermatology Outpatient Nurse - Oxfordshire

This is a 12-week weekend post with 18 Week Support Limited, which supplies staff to dermatology outpatient clinics run for NHS Trusts to reduce waiting lists. The work centres on preparing clinics and treatment rooms, assisting consultants during consultations and procedures, carrying out observations and keeping clinical records. It is a Saturday and Sunday role running 08:00 to 18:00 and needs recent hands-on experience in NHS dermatology outpatient and surgical settings.

Current NMC registration with no restrictions to practise is required.

• Prepare and set up clinics, treatment rooms, equipment, instruments and procedure trolleys, ensuring all necessary equipment is available
• Carry out patient observations and assessments where appropriate
• Assist consultants and clinicians during patient consultations and procedures
• Support the safe and efficient delivery of patient care
• Provide patient education and treatment advice where appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Keep clinics running safely and efficiently in line with clinical standards and patient safety requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification

• Current NMC registration with no restrictions to practise

• Currently working within an NHS dermatology service, providing supervision and leadership
• Recent hands-on experience supporting patients within dermatology outpatient clinics
• At least 6 months of this work within the past 12 months
• Proven experience working within an NHS dermatology outpatient setting
• Proven experience working within an NHS dermatology surgical setting
