Dermatology outpatient nurse post with 18 Week Support Limited, working on NHS dermatology weekend in sourcing clinics that aim to cut waiting lists, for a six-month period. Duties centre on clinic preparation, patient observations and assessments, assisting consultants in consultations and procedures, and patient education. Shifts run Saturday and Sunday, 08:00 to 18:00. Candidates must already work in an NHS dermatology outpatient service, with current NMC registration and no restrictions.
Whatthe job involves
- Preparing and supporting outpatient clinics
- Conducting patient observations and assessments where appropriate
- Assisting consultants during patient consultations and procedures
- Providing patient education and treatment advice
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Ensuring clinics run safely and efficiently while delivering excellent patient care
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
- Current NMC registration with no restrictions to practice
- Currently working in an NHS dermatology outpatient service
- Recent hands-on experience supporting dermatology outpatient clinics
- At least 6 months of this work within the past 12 months
- Proven experience in a dermatology outpatient setting in the NHS
- Excellent patient assessment skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Proven experience in a dermatology outpatient setting in the NHS
