We are seeking a QA Manager who has legal or regulatory experience with the ability to drive continuous improvement to join our team in Birmingham, Cardiff or London (hybrid).

The role

The team is at the forefront of driving up standards, providing confidence to our key stakeholders in our regulatory activities and decision making.

This is an exciting time to join as we have been working on measuring the success of a large-scale Continuous Improvement Programme that is taking place within our Investigation and Enforcement Directorate. We are also broadening our assurance activities with opportunities to work with other departments across the organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as we undergo a period of transformation. Alongside our existing assurance activities, we are broadening our role to become a central quality assurance function across the organisation. This will provide opportunities to work with a wide range of departments, drive continuous improvement, and deliver quality assurance activities that have a meaningful impact across the organisation.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will take accountability of QA projects, working independently and having the opportunity to work as part of a team, to drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

You will be accountable for managing projects, conducting case reviews, reviewing processes, QA frameworks and analysing data. This will involve identifying trends and risk and formulating meaningful recommendations, ensuring delivery of the SRA's overall strategic objectives.

You will engage with a wide range of senior stakeholders to strengthen local QA activities across the organisation.

You will need strong analytical, judgment and communication skills with a flexible approach to your work.

What's in it for you?
  • The opportunity to be seen as a QA expert, working in a high-profile role and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Have a part in shaping regulatory outcomes that help protect the public interest
  • Apply your analytical and decision-making skills to review a wide range of regulatory outcomes
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement
What we're looking for:
  • Practical experience of identifying and assessing risks, in a legal or regulatory environment including complex case analysis
  • Track record of delivering solutions
  • Experience of involvement with continuous improvement initiatives and/or quality assurance
  • Experience of successfully managing competing priorities and adapting to a constantly changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear and concise reports and documents
  • Able to work proactively and collaboratively with peers and stakeholders across the business
  • Experience of undertaking analytical work with attention to detail
