The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) wishes to appoint a Research Fellow in Health Economics. The post sits within the Department of Health Services Research and Policy and links to the Global Health Economics Centre, a cross-school initiative that draws together on a number of studies and work over 150 health economists at the LSHTM. Members of the Centre undertake wide-ranging research of international significance and direct policy relevance.
The post offers an excellent opportunity to work on a new research programme on economic evaluations that use trial data within a highly supportive, collegiate environment. The postholder will work on a number of studies related to the management of bladder cancer and self-care.
The successful candidate will have a postgraduate, ideally doctoral degree in a relevant field and have strong quantitative skills and formal training in economic evaluation and related methods.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 31 March 2028. The post is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and is available from 01 October 2026.

The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,728 - £51,872 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
- Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff.
