Precious Metals Research Analyst

The Company

Globe 24-7, in partnership with a leading independent precious-metals research consultancies, is seeking a Precious Metals Research Analyst to join their team in London.

The Precious Metals Research Analyst will lead and strengthen research coverage of North American gold markets, with additional responsibility for selected Latin American markets.

The successful candidate will collect, validate and interpret supply-and-demand information, develop a strong network of market contacts and communicate regional insights clearly in written and verbal form.

The Responsibilities

• Collect, assess and interpret quantitative and qualitative information on gold demand across the United States and Canada, with selected coverage of Latin America.

• Develop estimates and analysis for investment, including retail bars and coins, over-the-counter activity and other relevant demand channels.

• Contribute to analysis of jewellery, industrial and technology demand where required.

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with market participants, including dealers, refiners, financial institutions, industry bodies and other relevant contacts.

• Triangulate public data, market intelligence and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, inconsistencies and data gaps.

• Maintain accurate datasets and clear supporting records, with a strong focus on data integrity and meeting reporting deadlines.

• Prepare clear written analysis, market updates, reports and presentation materials for internal and external audiences.

• Participate in client meetings and present findings with confidence and appropriate commercial judgement.

The Requirements

Candidates should have a degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or another relevant quantitative discipline. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.

The strongest candidates are likely to combine research and data-analysis skills with an understanding of supply and demand, macroeconomics, microeconomics and commodity or financial markets.

Candidates should normally have 5–8+ years of relevant experience

• work independently and effectively in a remote environment;

• combine quantitative analysis with sound market judgement;

• build credible relationships with senior external stakeholders and market participants;

• communicate complex findings clearly in reports, presentations and meetings;

• manage multiple datasets and deadlines without compromising data quality;

• adapt their approach as market evidence changes or conflicts; and

• travel regularly and operate confidently across different markets and cultures.
