We are seeking a talented Senior Copywriter to join our Copy team and contribute to Harrods' e-commerce creative vision, delivering exceptional product descriptions that enhance the customer experience and drive conversions.

About the Role

As a Senior Copywriter, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency across all copy on Harrods' website. Working closely with the Copy Manager, you’ll manage and mentor a team of Copywriters whilst maintaining the Harrods brand tone of voice and style.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of Copywriters; supporting with their daily tasks and guiding their development.
  • Writing and sub-editing high-quality product descriptions, with a focus on luxury and high-value items - overseeing up to 40 descriptions per day.
  • Maintaining and updating the house style guide in collaboration with the Copy Manager and Copy Lead to ensure consistency across the site and product descriptions.
  • Acting as a key touchpoint for internal teams such as trade and buying; ensuring the accuracy of all product information online.
  • Collaborating with the Studio team and business-wide stakeholders to streamline internal processes and support on larger business initiatives and projects.

This is a hybrid role with office hours from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. You will be required to work in the office a minimum of three days per week —every Wednesday and two additional days on a rota basis — while the remaining days will be remote.

About You

You will have strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team within a fast-paced environment. You’ll possess excellent time management and organisation skills, alongside impeccable spelling and grammar skills. You will have a keen eye for detail, knowledge of terminology, and awareness of e-commerce trends to aid you in confidently writing across all core categories. You’ll also have proven experience in product copywriting, editing, and managing people.
