Area Sales Manager – Compressed Air Industry

About the Role

Osprey Engineering Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, UK distributor of air compressors and related equipment, they are looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover the South East of England.

As an Area Sales Manager out in the field, you'll promote the business through development of the existing customer base and new business, working closely with the Service and Sales Engineering teams to make sure customers get an excellent standard of after‑sales support.

What You'll Be Doing

• Winning new sales through demonstration, exhibition and negotiation in order to achieve targets
• Managing your geographical sales area, including house and key accounts, to maximise sales
• Expanding the existing customer base
• Demonstrating and upselling solutions to existing, new and potential customers
• Working closely with the Service Department and Sales Engineers to ensure an excellent standard of after‑sales service
• Selling capital equipment including compressed air, nitrogen and vacuum products, pipe systems, service agreements, etc.

What We’re Looking For

• Sales or service experience.
  
  E.g. Service engineer who is looking to move into the world of sales would also be considered.
• Experience in the compressed air industry would be great, but isn't essential — full training is provided for the right person.
• A mechanical or electrical engineering qualification is desirable, but not essential.
• Ability to travel in and around the South East on a daily basis.
• A full, clean UK driving licence.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, determination, enthusiasm and motivation to succeed
