AV Business Development Manager - Higher Education

Step into a commercial role with a global leader in smart building tech and integrated automation platforms. The company designs hardware and software solutions that bring space, sound, and systems together across large-scale facilities. They need a sharp commercial manager to lead their expansion across universities and higher education institutions in the UK and Ireland.

Working alongside senior management, you will create and execute commercial plans to grow institutional account share. This goes far beyond standard product sales: you will consult directly with key decision-makers, such as IT Directors, AV Managers, and Estates teams - to get solutions specified early into long-term capital builds and technology rollouts. You will split your time between face-to-face meetings, technical presentations, and project discovery sessions.

You will also leverage procurement frameworks, attend major industry shows, and partner with regional integrators to move deals across the line.

  A background in consultative technology sales, with deep experience in AV or IT infrastructure within higher education.
• Commercial Ability: A track record of hitting targets, working through multi-stakeholder purchasing cycles, and navigating public sector procurement.
• Communication: Strong presentation skills and the ability to build immediate credibility with both technical teams and C-suite leaders.
• Eligibility: Right to work in the UK.
