About Sedex

Sedex is a trusted partner for over 100,000 businesses worldwide, helping them create socially and environmentally sustainable supply chains
. Through our platform's powerful data insights and expert guidance, we simplify the management, assessment, and reporting of sustainability performance.

Our Vision is to be a leader in making global supply chains more socially and environmentally sustainable. Our Mission is to provide data-driven insights, accessible tools, and exceptional services that support businesses in improving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance and outcomes.

The role

The Network Growth Manager is a commercially focused IC role embedded within the Sedex account management & new business function. Network Growth Managers (NGMs) work alongside Account Managers & Account Executives to activate and grow supplier networks across Sedex’s buyer base. They are the primary driver of supplier volume growth on the platform — bringing structured pipeline management, commercial rigour and buyer partnership to a function that is central to Sedex’s five-year growth plan.

NGMs operate in two distinct contexts: working within existing buyer accounts to identify and activate high-potential supplier growth opportunities, and engaging pre-sales with new buyer prospects to ensure supplier growth is embedded from day one. In both contexts, the mandate is singular: supplier growth. Support, training and platform queries are responsibility of the Account Management or Customer Excellence teams.

Key Responsibilities Supplier volume growth — existing buyer accounts
  • Identify the highest-potential buyers within your assigned portfolio using platform data and buyer signals, building a prioritised pipeline of supplier growth opportunities.
  • Work alongside marketing, data & subject matter experts to build campaigns and collateral to drive urgency and action for buyers to grow their network.
  • Lead the commercial conversation with buyers to agree supplier growth goals, milestones and engagement plans. Own execution: equip the buyer to self-serve where appropriate, or run supplier engagement projects through the Customer Success team.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to handover agreed Supplier Engagement projects, agreeing scope, milestones and escalation process. Support CS team in overcoming any blockers.
  • Work as a genuine partner alongside Account Managers & Customer Success — sharing account insight, aligning on buyer priorities and ensuring supplier growth activity is viewed as additive to the buyer relationship, not disruptive to it.
Supplier volume growth — new buyer logos
  • Engage pre-sales alongside the sales team and Global Head of Network Growth to assess the real supplier growth opportunity in prospect accounts before contracts are signed.
  • Be present at the point of sales handoff. Set supplier growth targets and a 90-day plan from day one of the new buyer relationship.
  • Build and own the new buyer logo supplier growth plan, ensuring every new buyer has structured milestones, data visibility and a clear path to supplier activation.
  • Provide feedback to sales and the Head of Network Growth on which buyer profile types convert most effectively to supplier growth outcomes, informing future prospect qualification.
Pipeline management and reporting
  • Maintain a live pipeline of supplier opportunities, updated weekly, with accurate stage data, conversion forecasts and time-to-live tracking.
  • Report portfolio performance to the Head of Network Growth at monthly reviews — covering volume, pipeline conversion, and activation quality.
  • Use platform and buyer data to continuously improve the targeting and prioritisation of your pipeline. Challenge your own assumptions about which accounts offer the best growth potential.
  • Flag systemic blockers — platform issues, buyer disengagement patterns, data gaps — that require cross-functional resolution beyond the scope of your direct role.
Cross-functional collaboration
  • Build strong working relationships with Account Managers across your assigned portfolio. Supplier adds per buyer is a shared metric — success depends on genuine collaboration, not parallel working.
