The roleThe Network Growth Manager is a commercially focused IC role embedded within the Sedex account management & new business function. Network Growth Managers (NGMs) work alongside Account Managers & Account Executives to activate and grow supplier networks across Sedex’s buyer base. They are the primary driver of supplier volume growth on the platform — bringing structured pipeline management, commercial rigour and buyer partnership to a function that is central to Sedex’s five-year growth plan.
NGMs operate in two distinct contexts: working within existing buyer accounts to identify and activate high-potential supplier growth opportunities, and engaging pre-sales with new buyer prospects to ensure supplier growth is embedded from day one. In both contexts, the mandate is singular: supplier growth. Support, training and platform queries are responsibility of the Account Management or Customer Excellence teams.

- Report portfolio performance to the Head of Network Growth at monthly reviews — covering volume, pipeline conversion, and activation quality.
- Use platform and buyer data to continuously improve the targeting and prioritisation of your pipeline. Challenge your own assumptions about which accounts offer the best growth potential.
- Flag systemic blockers — platform issues, buyer disengagement patterns, data gaps — that require cross-functional resolution beyond the scope of your direct role.
- Build strong working relationships with Account Managers across your assigned portfolio. Supplier adds per buyer is a shared metric — success depends on genuine collaboration, not parallel working.
