I m delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading international law firm on the appointment of a Senior Business Development Manager to lead the BD strategy for its global Energy & Natural Resources practice.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a genuinely strategic leadership role, working directly with senior partners across the UK and US to shape the growth of one of the firm s most important global sectors. You ll lead major business development initiatives, manage an established team and play a key role in driving revenue growth across an international platform.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the global BD strategy for the Energy & Natural Resources practice.
• Partnering with senior leadership to identify and deliver strategic growth opportunities.
• Driving client targeting, pipeline management and revenue-focused BD initiatives.
• Leading major pitches, RFPs and panel opportunities.
• Developing high-impact thought leadership campaigns and market positioning.
• Overseeing global business development programmes and driving best practice across the function.
• Using CRM, AI and data insights to inform strategy and improve BD effectiveness.
• Managing, mentoring and developing a high-performing international BD team.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the UK, Europe and the US on firmwide growth initiatives.

What they re looking for:

• Senior Business Development experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Proven experience operating at a strategic level with senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate market insight into growth opportunities.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative, proactive approach with the confidence to influence at partner level.
• Energy sector experience would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
