Junior Service Engineer - Fire & Security (Entry Level)

I am representing an excellent opportunity on behalf of my client, who is looking to bring an enthusiastic Junior Service Engineer into the Fire & Security industry. This role is ideal for someone who is new to fire & security but has a practical background and wants strong training, development, and a long‑term career path.

You will work alongside experienced Engineers, supporting with the servicing and maintenance of:

• Fire Alarm Systems
• Intruder Alarms
• CCTV
• Access Control Systems

This hands‑on position provides strong foundations for progressing into a fully qualified Service Engineer role.

My client provides an outstanding training programme, including:

• Full in‑house training with senior engineers
• Manufacturer training on leading fire & security systems
• FIA fire alarm training modules
• IP CCTV, networking and access control courses
• Ongoing mentoring, toolbox talks & skill development
• A clear route to becoming a fully qualified engineer

This is an exceptional entry point for someone serious about building a career in Fire & Security.

The client is open to applicants entering the industry, but the following experience is highly advantageous:

• Electrical Improver / Electrician experience
• 1st fix / 2nd fix experience
• Cable pulling, routing & terminations
• Patch panel / patching experience
• CAT5/CAT6 knowledge & basic networking
• General data cabling
• Confident with hand & power tools
• Experience with trunking, tray, conduit & basket installations
• ECS/CSCS card
• IPAF / PASMA certifications

All of these skills transfer extremely well into Fire & Security.

• Support senior engineers with servicing & maintenance
• Assist with system testing, inspections & compliance
• Help with basic fault‑finding
• Carry out cabling & installation preparation
• Complete simple service reports
• Travel across London and surrounding areas (vehicle provided after training)

• £25,000‑£32,000 starting salary
