About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a proactive and compassionate Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join our team based in Crystal Palace. This role focuses on supporting vulnerable individuals and families to maintain their tenancies and live independently within the community.

You will work closely with tenants who may be at risk of homelessness, providing practical guidance, early intervention and tailored support to promote long-term tenancy sustainment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support tenants to sustain their accommodation and prevent tenancy breakdown
  • Carry out needs and risk assessments and develop personalised support plans
  • Provide advice on budgeting, rent management and welfare benefits
  • Liaise with landlords, housing providers and external agencies
  • Support tenants to access employment, training, health and community services
  • Monitor rent accounts and address arrears in a supportive and solution-focused manner
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures
About You
  • Experience working in housing support, homelessness prevention or supported accommodation
  • Good understanding of tenancy law, welfare benefits and safeguarding
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • IT literate with good record-keeping ability
  • A calm, empathetic and non-judgemental approach

A relevant qualification in Housing, Social Care or a related field is desirable but not essential.
