Are you a Qualified Social Worker with experience supporting children and families, looking for your next locum opportunity in London?

3D Recruit is recruiting for a Qualified Children's Social Worker to work within local authority Children's Services. Offering £36–£38 per hour and an ASAP start, this temporary role is suited to an experienced practitioner committed to safeguarding children and improving outcomes for families.

You will manage a children and families caseload, assess needs and risks, and work collaboratively to ensure children receive appropriate protection and support. Specific duties will reflect the allocated team and caseload.

• Completing child and family assessments and identifying support needs
• Recognising safeguarding concerns and responding promptly to risks
• Developing and reviewing child‑centred plans with clear actions and outcomes
• Building effective relationships with children, young people, parents and carers
• Ensuring the child's voice and lived experience inform assessments and decisions
• Working with schools, health professionals, police and other partner agencies
• Contributing to multi‑agency meetings, reviews and safeguarding discussions
• Maintaining accurate case records and preparing clear professional reports
• Delivering statutory social work responsibilities in line with children's legislation and local authority procedures

• Social Work degree or equivalent qualification
• Current Social Work England (SWE) registration
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying experience
• Strong knowledge of UK children's social care legislation and practice
• Experience managing complex children's social care cases
• Right to work in the UK
