Uphold is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity where you’ll get to focus on building and improving our web and mobile applications for consumers and businesses. You will be designing and building applications with three core principles in mind: maintainability, performance, and security.

• Develop and maintain the frontend for the Uphold digital wallet, ensuring it is user-friendly, secure, and accessible across multiple devices and platforms.
• Implement new features and optimize existing functionality on both web and mobile platforms, based on product requirements and user feedback.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and backend services seamlessly into the frontend, ensuring efficient and reliable data exchange.
• Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, working alongside cross-functional teams.
• Write clean, maintainable, scalable and high quality code that adheres to best practices and industry standards, with a focus on performance and security.

• Strong knowledge of frontend technologies and frameworks like React Native, React, XState, Graph
  
  QL, and RESTful web services.
• Strong knowledge of the mobile platform, including the React Native framework, native modules, mobile data storage, app lifecycle, network requests, performance optimization, and platform-specific considerations (iOS and Android).
• Good understanding of the web platform, including DOM, CORS, browser data storage, script loading, request/response headers and others.
• Knowledge of multiple ECMAScript standards and modern JavaScript best practices.
• Knowledge of revision control systems.
• Basic knowledge of standard development pipelines, including build and other automation tools.
• Good communication skills and a team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams, and with a great attitude.
• Strong focus on project execution and delivery.
• Fluent written and oral English skills.

• Experience with programming languages.
• Experience with test automation techniques/tools.
• Experience in developing multi-language applications.
• Fluency in cryptocurrencies or other digital assets as they are core to our business.
