Central London (1 day a month)

Up to £80,000 (depending on experience) + excellent benefits package

My client is a start-up created within and backed by a large wealth management firm, giving you the best of both worlds: the pace and innovation of a start-up environment, with the stability, backing, and long-term security of an established financial organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern, data-driven fintech software using a cutting-edge Microsoft and Azure tech stack, helping deliver solutions to major financial firms.

You will join a highly skilled technical team focused on developing and enhancing the company's bespoke in-house wealth management platform, supporting the onboarding of new clients while also contributing to the design and evolution of future platform functionality.

This role has a strong SQL Development focus, working heavily with complex business logic, database design, optimisation, and data processing pipelines. You will also play a key role in improving CI/CD processes and deployment practices across the wider engineering environment.

You will collaborate closely with Software Engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions are delivered into production.

• 6+ years' commercial experience in SQL Development, Data Engineering, or similar data-focused roles
• Advanced SQL and Spark SQL skills
• Strong experience writing and optimising complex queries and stored procedures
• Python and PySpark experience
• Experience with Azure technologies including Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Functions
• Experience creating, documenting, and maintaining database schemas
• Experience working alongside Software Engineers and Test Engineers in Agile environments
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate business logic into technical solutions
