In addition, Travelfusion has developed a range of payment services, tfPay, which manages payments and reconciliations for millions of air tickets.

We are a dynamic SaaS technology company, rapidly growing and profitable, with 230 employees across London, Shanghai and Thessaloniki.

Due to growth we are expanding our core Java Engineering team based in London. The role requires expert‑level knowledge of J2SE programming, an understanding of web architectures and databases, and a minimum of three years of experience. Ideally the candidate will have worked with concurrency, heap management and general data structures.

• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well‑designed, efficient code
• Ensure designs comply with specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Own and manage projects
• Mentor and train junior engineers

• Java (Core/J2SE)
• Proactive attitude
• Ability to own projects and work both independently and in an agile team with rapidly changing priorities
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Understanding of common OO design patterns
• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Computer Science background or degree
• Commercial core Java experience (including concurrency and multithreading)
• Experience working in a fast‑paced startup environment
• Database knowledge and experience (SQL, schema design, JDBC)
• Understanding of network/web technologies (HTTP, HTML, XML)
• Ability to develop clean, self‑documented code as part of a team and write clear technical documentation
