* My client, a tier 1 bank, looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join a high-performing engineering team within a global financial services environment. The role focuses on building, modernising and supporting highly distributed, business-critical backend systems.

Key Requirements
Strong Python backend development
Advanced SQL / database development
Microservices and event-driven architecture
Kafka and/or Tibco
TDD and automated testing
Kubernetes and/or Open Shift
Prometheus, Grafana or similar
Production support and troubleshooting
Agile delivery experience

Desirable
Financial Services / Capital Markets experience
CI/CD and Dev Ops
Legacy system modernisation
Experience supporting critical production platforms

We're looking for a hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on code quality, testing and system reliability.
