We're hiring Full-Stack Engineers to build Descrial end to end, from the database to the interface. Our clients trust us with confidential financial data, so security, tenant isolation, auditability and a polished experience are engineering constraints, not extras.
You'll work in Type Script and React on the front end, Python (FastAPI or Django) on the back end and PostgreSQL on AWS. This role is part of a nine-person engineering cohort being hired across full-stack, front-end and back-end.
About DescrialDescrial is a startup inside a twenty-year-old company
Tres Vista has run the analytical work behind private capital since 2006. 2,000 people, 400+ clients including some of the biggest names in the industry, no outside capital and no outside board. That was the first chapter. And we enjoyed getting here!
The next chapter is harder and more interesting
We are moving from services to software, from one firm's workflows to an industry's, and from executing investment decisions to shaping how they get made. Thirty of us in King's Cross, small and senior, with day one founder intensity.
At its fullest expression, Descrial changes how every serious investment firm decides.
The roleYou report to the Head of Engineering and join the UK core team. You own features from schema to screen, set technical direction where it matters and ship in short cycles with product managers, designers, QA and our client-facing teams.
Your remitThe product surfaces
You build data-heavy interfaces in Type Script and React, making sound choices on server or client rendering and on state management with Redux, Zustand, Tan Stack Query or similar. You turn product requirements and Figma designs into accessible, consistent UI and help grow a shared component library. The interface respects a detailed role- and permission-based access model, and real-time views over Web Sockets handle loading, empty, error and stale-data states with care.
The services and dataYou design and build REST services in async Python with FastAPI or Django and Pydantic, with clear OpenAPI contracts and backwards-compatible changes. You model domain data in PostgreSQL, covering schema design, migrations, indexing, query tuning and multi-tenant isolation, and use Redis and Open Search or Elasticsearch where they fit. You build event-driven and background processing with queues such as SQS or Celery, including retries, idempotency, search indexing, audit events and notifications.
You implement authentication and authorisation end to end: SSO, OTP, session and JWT handling, and role-based checks on every request. Security and compliance (SOC 2, UK GDPR) shape the work: tenant isolation, least-privilege access, audit logging and secure file handling. You build integrations with the systems our clients use, such as Microsoft 365 through the Graph API (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), CRMs, HR systems and document stores, using OAuth and careful secrets handling.
The AI experienceYou work with the AI/ML team to bring LLM-powered features into the product. You build the Python layer between the product and our AI services, including streaming responses, document processing endpoints and safe access for AI agents to internal services through MCP. You design the experience around AI output so investment professionals can trust and audit it, with source citations, clear provenance, edit and approve flows, feedback capture and graceful failure handling.
The quality and deliveryYou write well-tested code (unit, component and end-to-end), take part in thorough code review and keep the CI/CD quality gates healthy. You own front-end performance for what you ship. You deploy and operate services on AWS with…
