The Civil Deployment Infrastructure Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Houma-Thibodaux Area. In this position, you will support underground telecommunications infrastructure projects, assisting with HDD operations, conduit and cable installation, and site preparation. Day-to-day tasks include handling and organizing cabling materials, aiding in the setup and breakdown of equipment, and ensuring accurate placement of structured cabling and network infrastructure components.

You will perform basic technical support and troubleshooting in the field, document work completed, and follow all safety, 811, and compliance procedures. Collaboration with crew members, adherence to project schedules, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment are key aspects of this role.

• Ability to perform field troubleshooting and provide basic technical support for civil and telecom deployment activities.
• Hands-on experience or strong aptitude in structured cabling and cabling installation for underground or telecom infrastructure.
• Understanding of network infrastructure components and how cabling and conduit systems support fiber and telecom networks.
• Commitment to safety practices, including adherence to 811 requirements and company safety protocols.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating tools.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and reliability in completing assigned tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Houma-Thibodaux Area.
• Previous experience in civil construction, telecommunications, or HDD operations is an asset but not required; willingness to learn and follow instructions is essential.
