Medical Laboratory Scientist – Providence Centralia Hospital

Join us at Providence Centralia Hospital as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a full‑time night shift position.

The role involves professional bench duties within the laboratory, performing routine and complex tests across assigned sections such as Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Toxicology, Microbiology, Molecular, Mycology, Immunohematology, LIS and Lean. Responsibilities include planning, performing, evaluating laboratory testing, and maintaining communication with physicians, patients, hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited college/university with clinical rotation. OR
• Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science AND completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program. OR
• Bachelor's Degree with completion of 60 semester/90 quarter hours from an accredited institution that includes minimum chemistry, biology, and additional related courses AND at least three months full‑time clinical experience in all laboratory areas.
• Valid National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire. OR
• Valid National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists upon hire. OR
• Valid National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire. OR
• Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Medical Technologists upon hire.
• One year of experience in a clinical laboratory performing moderate and high‑complexity testing.
