Senior Director of Clinical Education RN

Role Overview

As the Senior Director of Clinical Education RN, you will lead the transformation of clinical education across our service areas. Based in a dynamic health system, you will oversee clinical and inter‑professional education for nursesษ and other clinical staff, excluding Graduate Medical Education.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Visionary:
    Oversee service‑area professional practice, including shared governance and Magnet/Pathway structures.
  • Educational Architect:
    Implement and coordinate educational programs related to professional certifications, simulation, orientation, competence assessment, student placement, and career development.
  • Collaborative Innovator:
    Partner with system, division, regional, and operations leaders to source high‑quality, cost‑effective, and regulatory‑compliant educational programs.
  • Leadership Catalyst:
    Work with subject‑matter experts to conduct education needs assessments, marshal resources, and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Facilitator of Learning:
    Guide clinical and inter‑professional proficiency in collaboration with colleagues and the Executive Director of Education and Professional Practice.
  • Budget Maestro:
    Develop and manage budgets for کش needs assessment, intervention design, training scheduling, and proficiency evaluation.
  • Relationship Builder:
    Build relationships with operations leaders to align education with business needs and maximize cost‑effectiveness, including Clinical Ladder Board goals.
  • Subject Matter Expert:
    Identify emerging trends and recommend changes as needed.
  • Consultant:
    Serve as an internal consultant to leaders, aligning educational strategies with system‑wide visions and hospital operations.
  • Strategic Planner:
    Prioritize education spending with leadership to ensure alignment with strategic plans. 상품

    Collaborate with Quality leadership to align education outcomes with CMS, Joint Commission, and DNV guidelines.
  • ROI Analyst:
    Conduct return‑on‑investment analysis prior to program initiation to ensure economic feasibility.
  • Compliance Enforcer:
    Ensure educational materials meet PH marketing, communication, and learner appropriateness requirements.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor’s in nursing; advanced degrees (MSN or Ph.D.) preferred, or a master’s in Health Administration, Business, or Public Health if no MSN.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 5 years in direct patient care with progressive healthcare administration experience; 3 years in education/tr kozning with proven presentation skills.
  • Consultancy Acumen:
    Experience as an internal or external consultant with project‑management expertise.
  • Licensure:
    Active RN license in Washington State.
  • Skills:

    Strong leadership, patient placement, problem‑solving, prioritization, presentation, and decision‑making.
  • Knowledge:
    Familiarity with hospital systems, business analytics, organizational development, and information systems.

Base salary range: $80.97 – $127.84 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
