Zev Technologies is seeking a highly detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our team. Our company is a high‑quality, high‑precision production machine shop manufacturing firearms and firearm components in aluminum and hard metals using industry‑leading technology. Every machinist is responsible for manufacturing high‑quality parts and following our quality procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Load and unload parts correctly and consistently in a timely manner, ensuring clean parts and proper fixtures.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional checks using precision measuring equipment (daily requirement).
  • Perform tool inspections, identify worn tools, and document tool changes.
  • Perform machine maintenance in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Adjust tool offsets and program adjustments to keep parts in tolerance.
  • Build tools based on the tool list (knowledge of tool holders, LOC, and different types of tools).
  • Navigate Fanuc and Okuma controls (candidate may be trained).
  • TTO / prove out new code (must know what to look for).
  • Basic understanding of G and M code.
  • Operate a minimum of two machines simultaneously (each operator runs a “cell” of machines paired for feasibility).
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machinist in a job shop environment.
  • Proficient use and reading of various measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth mic’s, height gauges, bore gauges).
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Ability to read and understand prints and schematics.
  • Experience with Fanuc robotics is a plus.
  • Experience with multiple operating systems and controls (Fanuc, Okuma, Haas, Mazatrol, etc.).
  • High school diploma or GED; must read and write legibly.
  • Self‑motivated and able to be highly productive with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Team oriented and capable of working independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation.
Physical Demands
  • Must stand for long periods.
  • Good vision, hand‑eye coordination, and dexterity with small parts and hand tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
  • Work safely in various environments.
  • Work around frequent exposure to fumes, dust, and noise (provided safety equipment).

Salary
