This part‑time fast‑paced role involves pulling customer orders within the warehouse. You will operate electric pallet jacks, maintain order selection performance standards, and ensure accuracy and safety while palletizing orders and placing them in the correct locations.

• Selects various grocery, perishable, frozen or repack products from warehouse stock
• Reports adjustments to inventory counts, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and out of stocks
• Transports product throughout warehouse via electric pallet jack
• Maintains order selection performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage and maximum safety
• Performs duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

• Must work at least 8 hours a week (available shifts through winter will typically be 10 hours long, on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, although this is not set and not guaranteed)
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds continuously and pick with high accuracy and efficiency
• Ability and willingness to work in a range of temperatures from
  -10 to 90+ degrees
• Available and willing to work holidays and weekends
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen

• Preferred: experience in a large warehouse/distribution company within the last 3 years
• Preferred: experience with an Electric Pallet Jack or Reach Lifts
• Understanding of WMS preferred but not required

• Strong knowledge of all warehouse procedures and functions
• Understanding of safety guidelines

• Ability to select at established minimum rate for department
• Astute, close attention to detail
• Properly follows selecting procedures and verbal instructions in respective areas (grocery, repack, cooler/freezer)
• Understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes
• Good judgment required, as direct supervision may not always be immediately available

• Required to perform all duties at a UNFI location such as a distribution center or office

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently
• Exposed to temperatures ranging from
  -20°F to 90°F, varying by operation (Perishable Operation and Grocery Operation)
• Ability to perform repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures
• Work with hands and arms overhead; work in or under equipment
• Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance required at ground level and in high places
• Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
