Job Description

Lead Information Security Officer. Parsons is looking for a highly experienced professional to join our team. This role will be responsible for all aspects of digital security across a large contract supporting mission‑critical point‑of‑entry systems worldwide.

• Responsible for the certification and accreditation of computer networks and standalone information systems using government standards.
• Prepare, maintain, and implement System Security Plans that accurately depict the customer’s contractual and security requirements.
• Oversee and account for day‑to‑day security operations of all information systems (unclassified/classified).
• Work directly with program managers and system security engineers on all phases of system life‑cycle development.
• Conduct ongoing vulnerability testing of the information system to verify security features and operating controls are functional, effective, and meet government standards.

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Thorough, demonstrable understanding of Automated Information Systems and specifically chapter 8 of NISPOM.
• Proven experience with developing and implementing security measures in accordance with applicable ICDs, NISP, other guiding government regulations, and local facility procedures.
• Proficiency with various computer applications and testing tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WASSP, MBSA, Nessus, etc.).
• Strong background and experience assisting Information Systems Security Managers in reporting and mitigating information system security incidents.

• TS/SCI with polygraph.
• CISSP or other DoD 8570‑1 certifications or working towards certification.
• Documented strong background in certification and accreditation process of information systems and ability to write, review, and coordinate system security plans.
• Extensive experience developing and implementing facility procedures to govern marking, handling, controlling, removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing, and destroying media and equipment containing classified materials.

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.
