GNOC Tier II Technician

• Remotely configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices using command-line interfaces.
• Diagnose and resolve network tickets, focusing on Layer 2 switching (VLANs) and Layer 3 routing issues.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of MPLS across the wide area network (WAN).
• Utilize network monitoring tools like Microfocus and Riverbed to isolate and resolve performance anomalies.
• Coordinate with hardware vendors and service providers to replace defective components and resolve system faults.
• Assist the network architecture team in evaluating and integrating new technologies into the existing infrastructure.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph.
• Compliance with DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification requirements.
• 10 years of combined education and experience (e.g., Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, or a High School diploma with 10 years of experience).
• Practical experience with Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, or Brocade/Foundry operating systems.
• Strong understanding of OSI layers 1, 2, and 3.
• Familiarity with routing protocols and network technologies, including OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, and GRE.
• Experience using Service Now for ticketing and Microsoft Visio for network diagramming.
