Junior Accountant

• Processing day-to-day accounting transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Capturing journals, supplier invoices, customer invoices, and receipts.
• Managing creditor and debtor reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Processing supplier payments and customer allocations.
• Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintaining accurate general ledger and subsidiary ledger records.
• Assisting with the administration of asset finance transactions and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Maintaining fixed asset registers and processing depreciation.
• Preparing schedules for audits, funders, and statutory submissions.
• Assisting with VAT reconciliations and other compliance requirements.
• Maintaining accurate financial records within accounting and ERP systems.
• Supporting process improvements and ensuring adherence to internal financial controls.

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2–4 years' accounting experience.
• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, or general accounting.
• Exposure to financial services, lending, asset finance, or commercial finance will be advantageous.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using accounting software and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with online banking platforms will be beneficial.

• Understanding of VAT and basic statutory compliance.
