The purpose of this position is to maintain payroll related employee master data, process monthly payroll for all Proconics group of companies and perform payroll related accounting tasks reporting to Payroll Team Leader.
Qualifications/experience- BCom Accounting.
- 5-7 years’ experience in payroll and accounting.
- Ability to compile and submit WCA, UIF and PAYE returns.
- Proficiency in MS Office (advanced).
- Experience in Sage 300 payroll;
Knowledge of personal tax legislation (including PAYE, SDL rebates etc.). - Experience in one or more of the following fields will be an advantage:
- Knowledge and application of foreign employment tax credits.
- Experience with Dynamics, MEIBC and computerized financial systems.
- Report to Senior Manager:
Finance - Maintenance of employee master data in Excel, Sage and accounting package.
- Liaise with human resources department regarding payroll changes.
- Manage timesheet process and timeline including deadline enforcement.
- Manage leave application process.
- Prepare monthly payroll for review and release (including an international company).
- Preparation of monthly EMP
201 filing as well as bi-annual EMP
501 filing. - Preparation of EMP
201/EMP
501 audit documentation when required. - Monitor compliance with PAYE legislation.
- Preparation of annual compensation fund submission.
- Preparation of UI19’s when required.
- Preparation and submission of Department of Labour UIF filing.
- Preparation of general ledger adjustments / journals – payroll interface.
- Process payroll / employee related payments / garnishee orders.
- Generate remuneration reports for relevant stakeholders.
- All payroll related accounting tasks and functions.
- Resolve employee payroll related queries.
- Process all employee related payments.
