A company is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Accountant CA(SA) to join their Head Office team in Centurion. This role is suited for a recently qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) with strong technical accounting ability who is ready to step into a broader financial management role. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Accountant and support the finance function across reporting, compliance, budgeting, cash flow management, internal controls, audit coordination, and management reporting.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesReporting to: Senior Accountant
Employment Type: Permanent
Assist with the preparation and review of monthly management accounts.
Support annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts.
Monitor cash flow requirements and assist with treasury-related reporting.
Review reconciliations prepared by finance staff and investigate reconciling items.
Coordinate audit deliverables and respond to auditor queries.
Assist with the preparation and review of annual financial statements.
Support tax compliance, including VAT, income tax, provisional tax, and other statutory submissions.
Review creditor payments, supplier reconciliations, and month‑end accruals.
Assist in the improvement of internal financial controls and ensure policies and procedures are consistently and strictly applied.
Assist with managing, guiding, and reviewing the work of the finance team members.
Support the Senior Accountant with board reporting, finance projects, and ad hoc analysis.
Newly qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))
Minimum 2 years post-articles experience
Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, financial statement compilation and internal controls
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills essential
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Self-driven, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
Exposure to mining, commodities, or production-based environments would be advantageous.
