Senior Bookkeeper

A leading organisation within the specialised transport and logistics industry is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join its finance team in Centurion. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on finance professional who is confident managing the bookkeeping function through to trial balance and enjoys working across a broad range of accounting responsibilities.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping, AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end processing, financial reporting and statutory compliance, while ensuring strong financial controls and accurate financial records are maintained.

• Manage the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Perform bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations
• Process journals and assist with month-end close
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Assist with VAT and statutory compliance requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping experience
• Xero Accounting Software experience essential
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience managing bookkeeping through to trial balance
• Strong AP, AR and reconciliation experience
• Exposure to VAT and statutory compliance
• Previous transport or logistics industry experience essential
