About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Automotive Diagnostic Specialist to join their workshop in Centurion . This role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving complex vehicle issues that other technicians may not be able to diagnose. You will be the go-to expert for intricate problems, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and your deep understanding of automotive systems. This position is crucial for maintaining our client's reputation for tackling difficult repairs and providing exceptional service.

- Perform in-depth diagnostics on complex automotive issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, and climate control systems.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and specialized software to pinpoint faults.
- Interpret technical service bulletins (TSBs) and manufacturer repair data to guide diagnostic procedures.
- Provide clear and concise reports on diagnostic findings and recommend appropriate repair strategies.
- Stay abreast of the latest automotive technologies and diagnostic techniques through continuous learning.
- Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure accurate and efficient problem resolution.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Specialist or similar role.
- Strong expertise in diagnosing issues across a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Proficiency with OEM-specific diagnostic tools and universal scan tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a systematic approach to troubleshooting.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE certifications in diagnostics) are strongly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
