The Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Centurion or any other site you might be relocated to, responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role involves managing site activities, supervising construction teams and subcontractors, monitoring progress against project schedules, and ensuring work is carried out in line with design specifications and quality standards.

The Construction Manager will handle project budgeting and cost control, track resources and materials, and collaborate with project control and engineering teams to resolve technical or scheduling issues. Daily tasks include enforcing construction safety protocols, conducting site inspections, maintaining documentation and reports, and communicating with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to keep projects on track. The role also requires proactive risk identification, problem-solving, and support for continuous improvement in construction processes.

Qualifications
  • Strong supervisory skills with experience leading construction teams and coordinating subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking for construction projects.
  • Solid understanding of construction safety standards, risk management, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • In‑depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site operations, including project control practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing medium to large‑scale construction projects, preferably in infrastructure or mining.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills, with familiarity in project management tools and software.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on‑site.
  • Attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and commitment to quality and safety in all project phases.
