About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and driven Construction Project Engineer to join their team in Centurion. This role is integral to the successful planning, execution, and delivery of various construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of construction, ensuring that projects meet engineering standards, specifications, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles and a practical understanding of construction site operations.
This position offers the chance to contribute to significant infrastructure and building projects within the dynamic Gauteng region.
- Support the project management team by overseeing the technical aspects of construction activities in Centurion.
- Review project plans, specifications, and engineering drawings to ensure feasibility and compliance with standards.
- Manage and coordinate site engineers, foremen, and other technical staff to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation related to project engineering matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Construction Project Engineer or similar role, preferably within the South African construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Familiarity with project management software and CAD tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
