About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Centurion. You will work closely with senior surveyors and project managers, assisting in all aspects of cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting for various building projects.

This hybrid role allows for a blend of office-based work and on-site visits, providing a comprehensive understanding of project economics.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects.
- Support the measurement and valuation of variations and interim payments.
- Help in the preparation of tender documentation and the evaluation of subcontractor bids.
- Assist in managing project costs, tracking expenditures, and preparing financial reports.
- Conduct site visits to verify progress and assess work completed, liaising with site teams.
- Learn and apply relevant contract law and procurement processes within the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field.
- Some practical experience or internships in quantity surveying or cost management within the construction industry is preferred.
- Strong numerical aptitude and excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with construction terminology and basic understanding of contract principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with cost management software is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
