Construction Foreman Operations

Our client, a reputable construction firm, is looking for an experienced and diligent Construction Foreman to lead operations on various projects in the Centurion, Gauteng area. This role demands strong leadership capabilities and a thorough understanding of construction processes. The Construction Foreman will be responsible for supervising daily site activities, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

• Direct and supervise daily on-site construction activities, ensuring tasks are completed according to project schedules and quality standards.
• Lead and manage a team of construction workers and subcontractors, providing clear instructions and guidance.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site.
• Coordinate the delivery and allocation of materials, tools, and equipment to the work site.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure it meets specifications, quality requirements, and safety protocols.
• Liaise with the Site Manager or Project Manager on daily progress, challenges, and resource needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site, promoting good housekeeping practices.
• Identify potential safety hazards and implement preventative measures.
• Train and mentor junior construction staff on best practices and safety procedures.
• Keep accurate records of daily work performed, labor hours, and any incidents.

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, tools, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Experience in managing small to medium-sized construction teams.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions on site.
• Must be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
• Reside in or be willing to commute to the Centurion, Gauteng area.
• A valid driver's license is preferred.
