Project Engineer - Commercial Construction

The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, architects, and site teams to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

• Assist Project Managers in the planning and execution of commercial construction projects.
• Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth project flow.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards on site.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Perform site inspections and quality control checks.
• Assist in budget management and cost control efforts.
• Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
• Support the close-out process for completed projects.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Experience in commercial construction projects is essential.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Based in or able to commute regularly to Centurion, Gauteng .
