Senior Site Foreman - Civil Construction

Our client, a reputable contractor undertaking significant civil engineering projects, is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Site Foreman to lead their site teams in Centurion, Gauteng . This hands-on role is responsible for the direct supervision of daily construction activities, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in civil construction, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of site operations.

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of construction crews on civil works sites.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and company standards.
• Enforce strict health and safety regulations on site, conducting regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Manage site resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity.
• Monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and report deviations to the Site Manager or Project Engineer.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure seamless workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment on the construction site.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety requirements.
• Assist in the training and development of junior site staff.
• Keep accurate daily records of site activities, workforce, and materials used.

• A relevant trade qualification or NQF Level 4/5 in a construction-related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in civil construction.
• Proven experience supervising teams on large-scale civil projects (e.g., roads, earthworks, bulk services).
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Solid understanding of health and safety principles and regulations in the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• A valid driver's license is essential.
