Please note that this appointment is a part-time, fixed-term contract valid until 30 June 2026. This position does not constitute a full-time appointment.

Key

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Lecture and assess contact learning in the BEd (Foundation Phase Teaching) programme:
    • Mathematics for foundation phase 1
    • Mathematics for foundation phase 2
    • Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.
    • Participate in relevant programme, curriculum and material development.
    • Provide academic support to students.
    • Complete all quality assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes.
    • Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management.
    • Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs.
    • Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.
    • Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.
Qualifications and experience | minimum requirements
  • Minimum bachelor of education honours degree (or equivalent postgraduate qualification) with relevant study in foundation phase education, early childhood development, mathematics education, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years’ teaching and/or lecturing experience in foundation phase mathematics, early childhood development mathematics, or mathematics education, with demonstrated experience in teaching the pedagogy of mathematics.
  • Experience in higher education teaching and/or module coordination will be an advantage.
  • Experience in curriculum and materials development.
  • Experience in online and blended teaching and learning environments.

  • High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern information technology infrastructure and online learning platforms.
