Learnership Overview

OUTsurance has been propelling the South African insurance industry forward for the last 28 years. As leaders in the field, we’re always looking for innovative ways to create digitally-advanced solutions, without losing sight of our human values.

The Learnership is a structured work-based program affording unemployed youth work experience in our company. This program gives unemployed youth workplace experience or an opportunity to practice the work skills in order to assist them in the future with their chosen occupations.

Successful applicants will enter into a fixed-term Learnership agreement (not an employment contract) with the company and receive a stipend of R9 000. This is a learning opportunity for unemployed youth that has a passion for call centre and would like to gain experience to pursue a career in the Financial and Insurance industry.

• Friday to Monday (9 hours)
• Saturdays (8 hours)
• Sundays (5 hours)
• Two week days off (either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
• One day per week dedicated to full qualifications training on‑site

You will be required to work a full day during South African public holidays if you are scheduled on the day, unless it’s a public holiday in the UK.

• Matric
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• No work experience required

• Be a South African citizen
• Not previously on a Learnership with INSETA
• Be between the ages of 18 & 35
• Unemployed in the last 6 months
