Proposals Engineer; gn Bulk Materials Handling

Your mission

KOCH Solutions Africa is looking for an experienced Proposals Engineer to develop competitive, client-focused bids and proposals that align with company goals and industry standards:

• Manage the overall proposal and bid process.
• Review client RFQ’s, specifications and project requirements to prepare accurate cost breakdowns.
• Source sustainable costing from suppliers/sub-contractors and ensure compliance with regulations (taxes, exchange rates and payment terms).
• Create, format, and submit proposals on time, tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver viable solutions and address challenges.
• Continuously improve proposal processes, templates, and tools for efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information.

• A degree or diploma in Cost Engineering will be advantageous.
• Proven experience in proposal engineering within mining or bulk materials handling industry.
• Solid knowledge of industry equipment, processes, project planning, costing, and contract terms.
• Skilled in pricing strategies, cost estimation, and managing forex impacts.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel & Word) with strong document formatting and attention to detail.
• Bulk Materials Handling environment experience would be advantageous.
