AECOM is seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor - Civil Infrastructure/Water to be based in South Africa's Enterprise Capabilities office in Centurion. This position will support a team locally based in South Africa and Global Teams. As a part of AECOM's culture, it offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement which accommodates both office and out-of-office work schedules.

• Act as project leader, supervising and delivering all aspects of cost management from inception of a project through to completion.
• Be intrinsically involved in projects and ensure effective delivery input of others.
• Guide Candidate Quantity Surveyors and independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete design works.
• Facilitate and coordinate small to mid-size projects.
• Liaise with the project Executive and the client body to establish and implement a clear project brief.
• Be accountable for a variety of complex deliverables throughout the lifecycle of a project.
• Brief the team on the project scope to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood.
• Manage the resources on a project and within the established budget.
• Monitor and manage the performance of Project Surveyors and other direct reports.
• Function as a Deputy Project Manager on APIC on at least one active project.
• Assist with managing project services and projects using APIC and other systems as relevant.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with the PDS.
• Comply with all QA requirements and benchmark project data.
• Work in conjunction with Executives to assist with the management.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Attend client meetings as technical support to gather information and discuss project requirements, explain/defend work.
• Participate in the development and preparation of bids and proposals.
• Present solutions to clients in a professional and technically competent manner.

• Minimum 5 years overall experience within the built environment with a focus on Civil Infrastructure/Water.
• Must be registered as PRQS.
• Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or university.
