A leading technology-driven engineering company is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join its innovative Research & Development team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced engineer to spearhead the development of advanced power conversion technologies for renewable energy, battery storage, telecommunications, and industrial applications, leveraging the latest Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) technologies. In this role, you will lead projects from concept through to production, taking ownership of power converter architecture, topology selection, control loop design, magnetic component development, PCB design, laboratory testing, and product certification.
Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will drive the creation of high-performance, efficient, and reliable DC-DC and AC-DC power conversion solutions that support the next generation of energy and power management systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, or Power Electronics.
- Master's Degree in Power Electronics, Energy Systems, or a related field will be advantageous.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in power electronics design and development.
- Proven experience developing DC-DC and AC-DC power conversion products from concept to production.
- Strong knowledge of converter topologies including Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward, Full-Bridge, LLC Resonant, and Bidirectional DC-DC Converters.
- Hands-on experience with Silicon Carbide (SiC) and/or Gallium Nitride (GaN) power devices.
- Expertise in control loop design, compensation techniques, small-signal modelling, and stability analysis.
- Experience with magnetic component design, including transformers, inductors, EMI filters, and common-mode chokes.
- PCB design and hardware development experience within high-power and high-frequency applications.
- Proficiency in LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, and Altium Designer.
- Experience with in renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), electric mobility, telecommunications, or industrial power conversion environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead development projects and mentor junior engineers.
