Civil Engineer - Structural Design

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with a specialization in structural design to join their established team based in Centurion. This role will involve the design and analysis of various structural elements for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, stability, and integrity of structures, adhering to all relevant building codes and standards.

This is a hands-on role requiring a deep technical understanding and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions within a collaborative office environment.

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and other civil structures using advanced engineering software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for construction.
• Conduct site investigations and structural assessments of existing buildings.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Review shop drawings and provide construction support, responding to site queries promptly.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in structural engineering design and materials.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering design.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng. or P.Eng.) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software ( e.g., SAP
  2000, Etabs, Revit Structure ).
• In-depth knowledge of relevant building codes (SANS, Eurocode) and construction practices.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
